01. Course Readiness and Introductions

Hello everyone,

This first week of Color and Design has a few basic requirements for you to complete so you are all set up and ready to complete each week’s assignments.

  1. Please carefully review the Art 162 Syllabus – Spring 2020.
    It contains all the information about course objectives, planned schedule, and materials that you’ll need to be successful in this class.
  2. Please make sure you have access to your UAF email account, which should end in “@alaska.edu”.
    All email communications for this course will default to that email so it is important you check it on a daily basis. You can also choose to set it up to forward to another email account if that is your preference.
  3. All course modules will be opened up on Monday afternoons and submissions should be posted on this site no later than 11:59 pm the following Monday night.
    That should give you a full week to work on assignments, but please do take the time to review the assignments earlier in the week – rather than later –so I can have a chance to respond to any questions you may have before the assignment is due. All the course modules in menu are not officially open for viewing until the week they are scheduled to be available, so don’t be concerned if the other modules not open yet show a “page not found” error.
  4. Finally, please post a short introduction for yourself in the companion post page located at https://coloranddesign.community.uaf.edu/2019/01/15/01-course-readin…nd-introductions/.
    Don’t forget to include your name, major, and why you are taking the course. Also, add an image of your artwork or artwork you admire so you can get used to sharing images if you aren’t familiar with how to do that on WordPress. I’ll be looking for all 4 of those items to get to know a bit about you, and please take the time to comment on other posts. That is part of your participation points for this class.
